This is your chance to discover whether I am the right doula for you: both my personality and my practice. During this one-hour meeting you may have several questions you want to ask me about my training, philosophy, and the services I provide. I am enthusiastic about providing all the information you need in order to choose the doula that is right for you! Partners are welcome to attend this consultation as well as all prenatal meetings!

Basic Birth Doula Package

Includes:

• 2 prenatal visits of one to two hours each during which we will become better acquainted and will go over your intentions for your birth and how to achieve them. I will assist you in creating your unique birth plan and will provide evidence-based informational support as well as non-judgmental emotional support. ~Prenatal visits are not intended to replace childbirth education classes!~
• A 20-minute prenatal pampering session during one of the prenatals including Reiki and massage; aroma and music therapy; guided relaxation; and a gentle, restorative yoga treatment.
• Support by e-mail and phone: Between visits, if you feel like you need someone to talk to about your pregnancy or impending birth, you are welcome to contact me via phone or email. Many clients find that they use me as a sounding board when something concerns them and they don't know if they want to "bother" their care provider or not. Then again, sometimes you just need someone to vent to about your pregnancy and I'm happy to be that person!
• 24/7 on-call availability to attend your birth beginning two weeks before your estimated due date until you have given birth.
• Continual labor support including: general comfort measures, massage, Reiki, Hypnosis, counter pressure/acupressure, positioning for mother’s comfort and to help baby rotate and descend, aromatherapy, guided relaxation, music therapy, visualization exercises, water therapy, vocal toning, yoga during labor, and emotional support. My job is to meet your needs during labor. I do this by helping your partner show you relaxation and comfort techniques, running interference with visitors, filling everyone's basic needs (food, drinks, bathroom breaks, etc), helping you acquire additional information about interventions if they become necessary, and generally just making sure your labor and birth go as smoothly as possible. If you don't have a partner or your partner is not going to be involved with the birth, you can expect that I will give you all the one-on-one support you need. ~I do not replace the husband or partner; instead, I help them to become more involved in the birth. I help to create a sacred space for you two to share, giving guidance when desired and stepping back to encourage the intimacy that is inherent in the birth of your child.~
• Support up to two hours after the birth including comfort measures, assistance with breastfeeding, and protecting the sacred space of privacy for the new family. I will also be glad to take pictures after the birth with your camera.
• A postpartum visit of one to two hours about a week after your birth. This is a great opportunity for us to discuss your birth, troubleshoot breastfeeding or baby care issues, or just hang out and admire your precious little one(s). I'm also available by phone or email anytime after the birth if you need help or suggestions.
• I offer additional prenatal meetings for $25/hour.

Bella Mama Package

for Mamas who want to treat themselves to extra care and pampering and save money at the same time…

Includes:

• The Basic Birth Doula Package
• A whole hour of blissful prenatal pampering including: relaxing Reiki; hand, head, and neck massage; and aroma and music therapy. This is done at your home at our second prenatal meeting.
• Two hours of Hypnotic-Coaching for creating relaxation and preparing your mind for a gentle and beautiful birth as well as removing and clearing any fear or mental blocks to birth.
• A 90-minute private prenatal yoga class plus 15% off any yoga class package after that
• The Happiest Baby on the Block Parenting Class, including the parent kit (free group class or half-priced private class)
• The Labor Preparation Workshop for Couples (free group class or half-priced private class)

Postpartum Doula Services

Nurturing the family in their 4th trimester…

Includes:

Mother Care

• My job is to pamper you and to give the kind of support you need. I can give comforting massages*, Reiki, relaxation treatments, Hypnotic-Coaching (like Life Coaching with the power of Hypnosis!), accompany you on outings with or without your new baby, provide a listening ear, give breastfeeding support, assist you in gentle postpartum yoga, and more!

Baby Care

• I can care for your baby while you get some rest, take a shower, catch up with friends and relatives, take time to nurture yourself…etc.
• Help with soothing skills (I am certified Happiest Baby on the Block Educator)
• Reiki for boosting the body's ability to heal itself (birth is tough on babies, too!)
• Assistance with multiples

Home Care

• Delicious, nutritious meal preparation and grocery shopping, light cleaning, dishes, laundry, simple Feng Shui, etc.

Price for Postpartum Doula Services in the Boulder area:

• $25/hour with a minimum stay of 4 hours per visit during the hours of 9am to 6pm on weekdays
• $35/hour on an as-needed basis with no minimum stay from the hours of 6pm-10pm or on weekends
• Fees vary for postpartum doula services outside the Boulder area.
• Contact me if you desire overnight services
• *I am not a massage therapist, but I can offer comforting touch within the scope of practicing as a doula and Reiki practitioner.
