This is your chance to discover whether I am the right doula for you: both my personality and my practice. During this meeting you may have several questions you want to ask me about my training, philosophy, and the services I provide. I am enthusiastic about providing all the information you need in order to choose the doula that is right for you! Partners are welcome to attend this consultation as well as all prenatal meetings!

As a doula, it is my intention to help each client achieve the birth that she desires. ~Services are flexible and customizable.~

Basic Birth Doula Package

Includes:

2 prenatal visits of one hour each during which we will become better acquainted and will go over your intentions for your birth and how to achieve them. I will assist you in creating your unique birth plan and will provide evidence-based informational support as well as non-judgmental emotional support. ~Prenatal visits are not intended to replace childbirth education classes!~
A 10-minute prenatal pampering session during one of the prenatals including a hand massage and a gentle, restorative yoga treatment.
Support by e-mail and phone: Between visits, if you feel like you need someone to talk to about your pregnancy or impending birth, you are welcome to contact me via phone or email. Many clients find that they use me as a sounding board when something concerns them and they don't know if they want to "bother" their care provider or not. Then again, sometimes you just need someone to vent to about your pregnancy and I'm happy to be that person!
24/7 on-call availability to attend your birth beginning two weeks before your estimated due date until you have given birth.
Continual labor support including: general comfort measures, massage, counter pressure/acupressure, positioning for mother’s comfort and to help baby rotate and descend, aromatherapy, guided relaxation, music therapy, visualization exercises, water therapy, vocal toning, yoga during labor, and emotional support. My job is to meet your needs during labor. I do this by helping your partner show you relaxation and pain coping techniques, running interference with visitors, filling everyone's basic needs (food, drinks, bathroom breaks, etc), helping you acquire additional information about interventions if they become necessary, and generally just making sure your labor and birth go as smoothly as possible. If you don't have a partner or your partner is not going to be involved with the birth, you can expect that I will give you all the one-on-one support you need. ~I do not replace the husband or partner; instead, I help them to become more involved in the birth. I help to create a sacred space for you two to share, giving guidance when desired and stepping back to encourage the intimacy that is inherent in the birth of your child.~
Support up to two hours after the birth including comfort measures, assistance with breastfeeding, and protecting the sacred space of privacy for the new family. I will also be glad to take pictures after the birth with your camera.
A postpartum visit of one hour about a week after your birth. This is a great opportunity for us to discuss your birth, troubleshoot breastfeeding or baby care issues, or just hang out and admire your precious little one(s). I'm also available by phone or email anytime after the birth if you need help or suggestions.

Luxury Birth Doula Package

for those who want to treat themselves to extra care and pampering…

Includes these things in addition to the Basic Doula Package:

A 30-minute prenatal pampering session including: hand, head, and neck massage; aroma and music therapy; guided relaxation; and a gentle, restorative yoga treatment.
A beautiful LED birth light to create candlelight ambiance for your labor and birth—much safer than a real flame which is not allowed in the hospital. This makes a beautiful keepsake after the birth as a soothing nightlight for you and your child for years to come (also comes in handy for late-night feedings and creating ambiance for baby massage)
One delicious vegetarian meal delivered to your home after your birth. I use only natural and organic ingredients. Bon Appetite!
A 30-minute postpartum pampering session including: hand, head, neck, back, and foot massage; aroma and music therapy; and guided relaxation.
Postpartum Recovery Kit including: Postpartum Recovery Tea, Postpartum Recovery Bath Herbs, New Mama Bottom Spray, Happy Mama Spray, and Earth Mama Bottom Balm

Price for Luxury Birth Doula Package: $600

Mother Care

My job is to pamper you and to give the kind of support you need. I can give massages, relaxation treatments, accompany you on outings with or without your new baby, provide a listening ear, give breastfeeding support, and more!

Baby Care

I can care for your baby while you get some rest, take a shower, catch up with friends and relatives, take time to nurture yourself…etc.
Help with soothing skills
Assistance with multiples

Home Care

Meal preparation and grocery shopping, light cleaning, dishes, laundry, etc.

Price for Postpartum Doula Services

$20/hour with a minimum stay of 4 hours per visit during the hours of 9am to 6pm on weekdays

$30/hour on an as-needed basis with no minimum stay from the hours of 6pm-10pm or on weekends

Gift Certificates are available and may be put towards any service. They make wonderful gifts for the mother-to-be. They may be made out for any amount and come with a beautiful, hand-made gift card.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of half of the total fee is due along with the signed contract in order to secure my services as your doula. I will then reserve the weeks on my calendar during which I will be on-call to attend your birth.

The remaining fee can be made in two payments—one quarter of the total fee being due at 38 weeks gestation and the remaining quarter due at our postpartum visit, about a week after your birth.
